Tokyo-based brand Bridge and Blend announces the global launch of “Premium Incense Inspired by Blending 1000-year-old” on Kickstarter to celebrate Incense Day on April 18.
 
Tokyo/New York - April 6, 2021 - Project Felicia, the operating company of the brand Bridge and Blend announced the launch of a collection of incense products globally. The collection consists of 6 scent variants. This is the first product launch under a brand new “Bridge and Blend”.
 
“We are delighted to announce the launch of incense that can transcend time and space through the scent to 1000 years ago in Japan on April 18, which is Incense Day,” 
said Hiro Nakayama, creator of this project and founder of Project Felicia.
 
Chandler Burr, former New York Times scent critic commented “Timeless”, then continued “In 21st-century Japan, you can pass through a time portal to the ancient past through scent. Walk down a street scented with car exhaust, steaming UDON from a 7-Eleven, maybe last night’s Asahi beer spilled on the asphalt – then suddenly, as you pass by the almost-hidden stairs to a temple, the air is filled with the white smoke of incense. In that moment, the city vanishes, sounds mute, and you are in 1120 in the Heian Era. Japanese incense – the ancient scent of agarwood, sandalwood, frankincense - provokes such a response for as long as you linger in its aroma.”
 
On April 18, the company will start rolling out the collection on Kickstarter. Consumers around the world will be able to enjoy these timeless scents as a new home fragrance product.
 
Based on 1000-year-old recipes and hand-made by an incense master in Japan, with premium grade 100% natural ingredients, this product comes in sustainably conscious packaging. And 1% of the sales goes to the 1% for the Planet to protect the natural environment.

*Incense Day was established in 1992 by the National Council of Incense Associations in Japan. The Japanese character for incense, ‘香’ has the letter 18 hidden as 一十八日, and  there is a record that agarwood drifted to Awaji Island in April of the year 595 in the NIHON SHOKI (the Chronicles of Japan).
