6 States and Where You Are Now

We are not in the same state every day.
You may feel light in the morning, yet heavy by evening.
Some days your mind feels clear and focused, while on others your thoughts seem scattered.
Sometimes you feel ready to let something go. Other times, you simply long for quietness.
These changes are natural.
And yet, without noticing these shifts within ourselves, we often move through each day at the same pace, in the same way.
Before we realize it, our thoughts grow heavy and our breathing becomes shallow.
To restore balance begins with noticing where you are now.
At Bridge and Blend, we have organized these inner conditions into six states.
We call them the States of Ritual.
Each state has its own name.
Light: For moments when you want to release heaviness and move more lightly.
Like plum blossoms in early spring, quietly beginning to bloom.
Clarity: For moments when you want to clear away mental noise.
Returning to a calm and transparent perspective, like the still surface of a lotus pond.
Quiet: For moments when you want to enter a space beyond words.
Simply breathing within silence.
Focus: For moments when you want to end distraction and return to a single point.
Standing still, clear, and centered.
Release: For moments when you want to gently let go of what has accumulated within you.
Like falling leaves, returning quietly to your natural state.
Return: For moments when you want to come back to your center.
Finding your roots again within the deep smoke of aromatic wood.
Scent becomes an entrance into each of these states.
Lighting incense and watching the smoke slowly rise.
With each breath, the space quietly settles around you.
The first step in restoring balance is simply becoming aware of your present state.
Where are you now?
That question is where ritual begins.
