Incense making workshop

How are you doing?

I am often asked, "Can you make incense?"
I often answer, "Yes, I can. It's the same as cooking." (laughs)

The workshop offered by Bridge and Blend is an opportunity to create and experience one of the fragrances from "Six in Sense," an incense series that allows you to experience the Tale of Genji .

The event has been held since 2015 and has been held in Singapore, New York, Tokyo and Los Angeles, and is also used as a team building tool in corporate training programs .

The event will be held in September 2022 at JAPAN HOUSE Los Angeles , a venue that showcases both new and old Japanese culture, and tickets sold out within 30 minutes of the event being announced.

Using the creative kit, participants will create their own fragrance and mold it however they like with their own hands, as if they were working with scented clay.

Before you start creating your incense, you will learn about the history of incense in Japan, learn the basics of incense ingredients, listen to each ingredient one by one, and hone your sense of smell. You will also learn a little or two of incense trivia that you can use the next day.
