A scent found in the Tale of Genji, Six in Sense—KAYO is an early summer incense inspired by the lotus flower and inspired by a 1000 year old formula.

KAYO appears in chapter 32, "Umegae" (plum branch), and chapter 38, "Suzumushi" (bell cricket), of The Tale of Genji. For more information, see " The Tale of Genji and Lotus Leaf ."

Incense ingredients from all over the world met and mixed together in Japan 1000 years ago, and traveled out into the world as Japanese fragrances. Experience the "old and new" incense with a 1000-year-old recorded fragrance recipe recreated by a Koh-shi from Awaji Island. The palm-sized package, designed with sustainability in mind, has a lid that can be used as an incense burner. The built-in incense holder allows you to burn the incense until the very end.
