Incense Workshop
There is nothing more soothing and enriching than entering a world of luxurious fragrance.
Bridge and Blend not only offers incense products, but also incense workshops where you can create the same scents as the products, providing a comprehensive incense experience .
chance
What is not well known is that Bridge and Blend first decided to develop incense products after holding an incense workshop .
Just last month (January 2025), we held our first workshop in Paris.
The survey was conducted at L'Osmotheque, a prestigious institute in the world of fragrance, and was aimed at perfume and fragrance experts .
"Six in Sense" would never have been commercialized if it weren't for the feedback from the participants of our incense workshops, which have been running irregularly since 2015.
So why did we decide to hold this workshop?
My mother passed away in January 2015. A Buddhist priest began visiting my family home for every memorial service.
Each time, I noticed that the smell of the incense I burned while chanting sutras for my mother was different .
So I asked him about it and found out that he actually had several of his own incense sticks.
After that, I started researching incense and flew from Singapore, where I was living at the time, to Japan to attend an incense workshop.
I had originally been active in the fragrance (perfume) world, so I was able to understand it quickly.
This was my first encounter with incense.
After that, we consulted with our supplier and started "incense making workshops" in Singapore in December of that year.

Workshop Experience Overview
Bridge and Blend, an incense brand that delivers the scents of the Heian period, is offering an incense-making workshop where participants can create their own incense that appears in the Tale of Genji .
It is a luxurious time to use your five senses and prepare your mind.
General workshop flow
The first 10 minutes will be an introduction to the instructor and the program.
This will be followed by a 30-minute lecture explaining basic knowledge about incense and an overview of the workshop that day.
Workshop in the next 60 minutes .
You will actually create incense using your sense of smell and the touch of your hands .
Participants exchanged impressions of the creative process and the finished works.
The remaining time will be used for taking commemorative photos with your own work, answering questions, and reflecting on the workshop.
Features of Bridge and Blend Workshops
The workshop will be taught by instructor Hiro, who has been active in the fragrance industry both in Japan and abroad for many years, and the topic can be flexibly changed to suit the number of participants on the day .
Not only will the event provide a comprehensive experience of Japanese incense, but it will also explore incense from around the world, the scents of perfumes and consumer goods, the fragrance ecosystem, and the relationship between people and fragrance . The event will go beyond simply creating incense and stimulate participants' sensibilities, providing a new world of fragrance .
One of the features is the so-called "fragrant clay play" where participants can freely decide the shape of the incense sticks.
This makes the interactive experience more personal and leaves you with a lingering memory of a "fun" scent and one or two things you learned during the workshop.
Through this experience, participants will be able to unleash their creativity and gain exposure to new worldviews.
